Management Reshuffled at McDonald’s
Executive changes expected due to low sales
Executive changes are expected at McDonald'''s Corporation after July saw the lowest level of sales growth in three years.
The first such move was Wednesday. The Associated Press reports that Chief Operating Officer and President Mike Roberts resigned after twenty-nine years with the company. On Thursday McDonald's succession plan kicked into gear with the promotion of two key executives and the appointment of Roberts' replacement. The Chicago Tribune speculated that Ralph Alvarez of McDonald's North American division, could possibly shift to a post overseas, McDonald's Corporation ended up appointing Mr. Alvarez as its new Chief Operating Officer.
