History

In 1980, Woody Mills created a Bar-B-Q restaurant with his partner Yolanda. It was their mission to grill meat that melted in your mouth, mix coleslaw so fresh you’d think it was made at your table, and bake barbeque beans that set your mouth on fire. With this dream and an old collection of homemade recipes, they launched a dining experience akin to the South's hometown Bar-B-Q shacks. It's the kind of Bar-B-Q that you can call home.

Whether you're chomping into our Signature Baby Back Ribs, or tucking into a saucy slab of our spare ribs, you'll find that Woody's is far distinct from other big chain restaurants. Every Woody's food franchise has its own hometown atmosphere. We use choice cuts of pork and beef and farm fresh vegetables. Everything we on our menu is a Woody’s original. Everything from our secret-recipe Bar-B-Q sauces, to our famous slow-smoked Bar-B-Q dinners is unique to our food franchise.
