Pizza Pizza, the country’s number one pizza chain and a growing player in Quebec, has opened its newest restaurant location at the busy Henri-Bourassa/Berri intersection in Ahuntsic, Montreal. Located at 500 Henri-Bourassa Boulevard East, just near the subway station with the same name, the new location is owned and operated by Mr. Chakir El Alaoui Ahmed, an experienced entrepreneur from the Greater Montreal Area.

“I am eager to serve the community,” said El Alaoui Ahmed. “Ahuntsic, especially our neighbourhood, is a hub for people from all walks of life including commuters, local residents, families and students. We are committed to building bridges with the community and taking pride in our store and its offering.”

The opening is part of an organic expansion that has seen the company open twelve new locations in Quebec since 2008. With 19 locations in the province, the Pizza Pizza network now employs more than 110 full-time and part-time employees in Quebec.

“We are committed to serving our Quebec customers with care, quality and knowledgeable franchise partners,” said Pat Finelli, chief marketing officer at Pizza Pizza. “Chakir and his family have completed our training program and are poised for a prosperous career with Pizza Pizza. Customers will appreciate their work ethic and pride of service.”

At 2,300 square feet, the new location is slightly larger than other recently-launched Pizza Pizza stores and will feature the same menu options as the company’s other traditional restaurants. A total of 11 persons will staff the new location in variety of positions including kitchen staff and delivery drivers. Mr. El Alaoui Ahmed and his family are accepting resumes and will likely hire 2 to 4 more full or part-time staff before the end of summer.
