Burger King Plans to Enter Indonesian Market

Burger King Holdings announced that its subsidiary, BK AsiaPac Pte Ltd., awarded development rights for Indonesia to PT Sari Burger Indonesia, principally owned by PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk. The first BURGER KING restaurant in Indonesia is scheduled to open in Jakarta by June 2007.

'The BURGER KING brand currently enjoys a strong consumer following throughout the Asia Pacific region, and we are pleased to announce this expansion. We look forward to the brand's successful entry into Indonesia,' said Peter Tan, president, Burger King Asia Pacific.
