Made In the Shade Blinds Brings on 2 New Franchisees
Made in the Shade and BetheBoss.ca have truly become a match made in heaven, according to a large group of successful new franchisees throughout Canada.
During the past year, blinds retailer, Made in the Shade has utilized the services of BetheBoss.ca, a franchise distribution company, to help prospective franchise owners become aware of the benefits of owning a Made in the Shade franchise.
According to Robert Morse, founder and president of Made in the Shade, the relationship is proving to be a highly successful one.
"Made in the Shade is extremely happy with the caliber of leads we are receiving from BetheBoss.ca," Morse said. "In the last three months, we have closed two franchise deals in Vancouver and St. Johns, Newfoundland."
One of these two new franchisees is Norma Kennedy, from St. Johns, Newfoundland, who found BetheBoss.ca by doing a Google search.
"It popped up and I was hooked," Kennedy said. "I looked for hours on there."
Kennedy was first bitten by the franchise bug when her sister-in-law bought a restaurant franchise and enlisted her help. That's when Kennedy realized that she should be working for herself, instead of working for someone else.
With a background in office management, Kennedy realized that she already had the qualifications to successfully run a number of different types of franchises.
"I searched through a number of franchises including coffee shops and delis until I came upon Made in the Shade and that changed my thinking completely," Kennedy said.
"I have a background in sewing, including draperies and such, so I immediately jumped at the opportunity."
Kennedy entered her name in the contact form and admits that she was shocked when, the very next day, she received a call from Robert Morse himself.
"He explained how everything worked and I was excited about the whole concept. Now, I'm looking forward to having my own successful business," she said.
For Scott Innes of Vancouver, British Columbia, BeTheBoss.ca offered a valuable link to the franchise he'd been looking for.
"I stumbled upon BeTheBoss.ca while surfing the net to see what opportunities I could find," he said.
Innes, who spent more than 30 years building homes in Vancouver, was specifically looking for a retail franchise that involved blinds, shades and window treatments, so he was thrilled to find that Made in the Shade franchise opportunities were available. He was especially interested in the business model offered by the company, which charges no ongoing fees to the franchiser.
"I was not interested in the typical franchise model with its ongoing royalty fees/advertising fees, etc.," Innes said. "It was Made in the Shade's dealership model that got me interested."
Today, Innes is looking forward to successfully operating his new Made in the Shade franchise in Vancouver.
For company founder Morse, these new franchisees are proof that Made in the Shade and BetheBoss.ca are a winning team.
"As in any business, it takes time to realize profitability and to establish a level of confidence and trust with those you do business with," Morse said. "We want to say thanks again to BetheBoss.ca for the support and quality leads you provide for Made in the Shade Blinds Canada."
