Retire-At-Home Awards New Franchises for Victoria, Edmonton and Calgary

Ottawa, Ontario – February 28, 2011 –Staying ahead of strategic expansion goals as established in its long-term growth initiative,Retire-At-Home, a leading home health care provider and franchisor, proudly introduces new franchisees in Victoria, Edmonton and Calgary. “Coupled with our recent announcement about our expansion plans into Quebec, it certainly is an exciting time at Retire-At-Home,” says Jonathan Martin, Vice President of Franchise Development for Retire-At-Home.

New franchisees in Edmonton are Vicki Mather and her son, Dustin Lyall. They will also share ownership in the Victoria franchise with Valerie Fitzpatrick, a former nurse. Janet Munro, brother Reg Munro, and his wife, Leslie Munro who is also a nurse, are the new franchisees in Calgary. “As apparent by the family partnerships at our newest franchises, the family-type atmosphere at Retire-At-Home is stronger than ever,” says Martin, “With my mother, Irene Martin, RN, as Founder of Retire-At-Home, I know all too well the importance of family in business, and at Retire-At-Home. It’s a message that remains strong as we continue to grow.”

With over 2000 franchise applications received, interest in the Retire-At-Home franchise opportunity remains strong as the Canadian home health care market continues to grow. A recent analysis of emerging trends in franchising by the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) indicated Seniors / Home Care Services as one of the hottest sectors for 2011. The CFA reported, “Canada’s aging population is growing and this category in franchising provides realistic and affordable options for seniors that require assistance but want to stay at home as long as possible.”
