Express Employment Professionals Eyeing Canadian Expansion

Rapidly growing staffing agency Express Employment Professionals is seeing a spike in demand for offices across Canada as more and more job seekers and businesses rely on services from staffing firms countrywide. Both small and medium-size businesses benefit from services provided by companies like Express, and this factor has put the firm on an aggressive expansion path across Canada.

Currently, Express Employment Professionals has 37 locations across the country. They plan to open four more locations over the next three years, with the first location scheduled to open by the end of 2016. The company is eyeing Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary as potential new homes for additional locations.

Ranked the top staffing franchise in the United States in 2016 by Entrepreneur Magazine and coming in at number 70 in the publication's Franchise 500 only affirms the business boom of Express. CEO and chairman of the board Bob Funk recently said the company was honored to place on the Franchise 500 again and credited the company's improved numbers to the headquarters team and the work of its franchisees. This achievement marks the 10th year in a row that Express made the Franchise 500 list and the fifth year it was named the top staffing franchise.

Express franchising vice president David Lewis also spoke about the company, noting that they are a small business with a great purpose. According to Lewis, each time a new franchise opens, around 600 more people are able to find jobs on an annual basis. In 2015, Express was able to put 14,695 job seekers to work in Canada, and the expansion plans will allow the staffing agency to help even more people and local businesses.
