Alan Regala has had a lifelong passion for problem solving and for helping others. With a background in designing organizational products as well as design and product development of medical devices, Alan has a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. You could say that becoming a ShelfGenie franchise owner was the next logical step in his career.

“Having moved to Seattle in 2010, I wanted to start a new business. I really liked the concept of buying a franchise since it comes with a built in “partner.” I went with ShelfGenie because of the sound business model, the people behind the scenes in the Home Office and, most importantly, the commitment from those people to deliver the highest quality experience to the end consumer.”

Alan was recognized as the “Franchise of the Year” at the 2013 ShelfGenie National Convention. This prestigious honor is awarded for consistent excellence in all areas of franchise management. “We give this award in recognition of exceptional leadership and outstanding accomplishment,” said Alan Young, CEO and co-founder of ShelfGenie Franchise Systems, LLC.

For the consumer, ShelfGenie is an innovator of custom storage solutions for the home. We’ve won many awards including being named the 2013 Best Services Provider to the Organizing Industry at the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO-LA) Organizing Awards. Our customer satisfaction ratings are amazingly high – 75% of our clients rate us a 9 or 10 when asked how likely they are to recommend ShelfGenie to friends or family.

“As far as my success within the ShelfGenie franchise network, I was honored to be named the 2013 Franchisee of the Year at our annual conference in Orlando this past June. This award is given to the franchisee who best exemplifies ShelfGenie in every aspect of operating their business. I’ve taken an active role in the organization as a member of the national franchise advisory council, regional leader for the West and mentor to new franchisees.”
