Shamrock Burgers, a landmark in the premium burger market since 1970 announced today that it has hired The Pop Shop to aggressively enhance its marketing efforts and presence in the Durham region.

In the announcement, Greg Maleganeas, President of Shamrock Burgers said “Shamrock Burgers is well-known in Scarborough. We’ve been a favourite destination since 1970. You could say we’ve been rocking the premium burger market since before there was a premium burger market!”. Maleganeas added, “Now is the time for us to take Shamrock’s marketing efforts to the next level. The Pop Shop is going to help us build excitement and traffic in our stores as well as increasing awareness that we’re franchising throughout Durham region.”

Sharon Ricci, President and Creative Director at The Pop Shop echoed Greg during the announcement saying, “Shamrock Burgers has worked hard to build a solid, exciting and consistent brand. It’s really paid off - they’re a stand-out in a crowded market. Their menu is exceptional in terms of unparalleled taste, outstanding value and variety. Service is friendly and quick and their locations are convenient to a huge population. Our challenge at The Pop Shop is to raise Shamrock’s profile using every marketing tool in our toolbox while maintaining and strengthening their already entrenched brand. It’s going to be an exciting and busy year!”

Under the leadership of Maleganeas, Shamrock Burgers is poised to grow robustly over the next few years. According to Ricci, The Pop Shop has a solid marketing plan to help them reach their goals, including an appearance at the upcoming Franchise Show in Toronto, October 20th and 21st.

Shamrock Burgers has been owned by the Maleganeas family since 1970. It currently has two locations, one in Scarborough and one in Brooklin. Shamrock Burgers delivers homemade burgers, fresh cut fries and an exciting full menu. Franchise opportunities exist throughout Durham region.

The Pop Shop has built a strong reputation as being the “off-site marketing department that feels in-house”.
