Date

Jul 18, 2013

On July 13, 2013, Chronic Tacos in Vancouver (located at 382 W. Broadway) hosted a grand reopening celebration, unveiling the restaurant’s latest renovations and reinvigorated experience. Setting the tone for all future Chronic Tacos openings across North America, the taco shopembraces a SoCal feel with traditional Day of the Dead art and paraphernalia. For people who are tired of being underwhelmed by generic chains that serve tasteless, soulless, average food, Chronic Tacos in Vancouver is the fun, laidback, fast casual restaurant that delivers the true Mexican flavor of authentic third generation family recipes. It's more than food; it's a way of life – unique, edgy and playful, the Taco Life.

Grand reopening festivities consisted of several special deals and offerings, with a guest celebrity appearance by MTV’s Wee Man (the franchise owner of Chronic Tacos in Redondo Beach, CA), the first 25 customers in line at 11 a.m. earned one free taco per week for an entire year, and the next 25 customers in line earned a free taco for the day. The celebration also included mariachi band entertainment, a ribbon cutting ceremony, drinks specials, free chips and salsa with every meal, free prizes handed out by 99.3 The Fox radio station, and the ultimate vacation giveaway comprised of a trip for two to Las Vegas, including airfare and two nights at the Palms Hotel and Casino, as well as a gift card for Chronic Tacos at the Palms.

Aside from Wee Man, the Chronic Tacos Enterprises team – Mohammed brothers Michael (CEO), Dan (Vice President), Dave (Marketing Director), and Joey (Graphic Designer) – were all in attendance, alongside Chronic Tacos founder and President Randy Wyner. Joining them were 400+ eager, hungry customers, some of which camped out the night before in anticipation of the ultimate free-taco-every-week-for-one-year special. Additionally, 20 percent of grand reopening day sales, equating to about $700, is being donated to Covenant House, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting homeless youth.

The event was a huge success across the board and a great way to celebrate the newly corporate-owned Vancouver location. Through this restaurant and Chronic Tacos to come, the Mohammed brothers look forward to wowing customers everyday with their exceptional customer service and great tasting food.
