Rob Lancit and the BeTheBoss team were happy to hear that the grand opening on Saturday July 13th 2013, of The Mad Italian Gelato Bar and Café Italiano was a huge success. At the brand new 565 Danforth Avenue location in downtown area of Toronto, The Mad Italian supplemented the grand opening with the “Danforth Gone Mad” event which included the introduction of company’s new mascot, Aldo, live music, a DJ, face painting, balloons, magic tricks, in-store prizes, a fun recording photo booth wearing Aldo’s outrageous moustache, and free food to the first 2,000 customers.

Customers were excited, and enjoyed all of the Italian-styled food, live entertainment, and fun activities. It was great to see the local community come out and support the new restaurant in the area. The community in Danforth was enthusiastic about the new Mad Italian location and would like to see the enthusiasm spread in other Ontario communities, specifically, key areas like Guleph, Vaughan, Ajax and downtown Toronto.”
