Pizza Hut is planning to expand its brand further in Canada with the introduction of an extra 100 outlets in the next five years. The pizza takeaway and restaurant giant will facilitate this expansion with the use of franchisees who will run new outlets in selected parts of Canada.

To help attract more potential franchisees to the brand, Pizza Hut have given their franchise system a revamp. The introduction of smaller operating bases with less square footage is one way Pizza Hut hope to help reduce operating costs for new investors, and also the introduction of faster equipment and new products including pasta dishes and chicken wings which the pizza provider anticipates will help attract new customers, increase order values which will lead to increase overall profits.

Pizza Hut, which is part of the Yum! brand, is currently operates 300 pizza delivery and eat-in restaurants throughout Canada, however the growing pizza giant is actively seeking franchisees in the region as they aim to open a further 100 branches in the next five years. Although the projection is ambitious, Pizza Hut bosses say recruiting an extra 100 stores within 5 years is completely obtainable.

To become a Pizza Hut franchisee as part of the brand’s expansion in Canada, there is a minimum cash requirement of $150,000 and potential investors must have assets of at least $500,000 in order to be considered for a franchisee opportunity.
