Quesada Burritos and Tacos announces completion of a key element of their major expansion drive.
Tom O’Neill, President of Quesada Franchising of Canada Corp. has announced the signing of two new Area Developers for Alberta and British Columbia. Billy Virk will be charged with development of the Quesada Brand in Alberta. Elaine Wang and Les Duplain are responsible for British Columbia. Virk has extensive experience in brand management with two major gas and convenience chains. Elaine and Les have combined experience both in retailing and QSR management. Elaine and Les currently operate a Quesada franchise on campus at Simon Fraser University.
These signings bring the number of committed Area Developer territories to seven.
Said O’Neill: “This brings the number of restaurants to 210 under contract…. well past the halfway point in our goal to open 300 restaurants across Canada.”
O’Neill added: “We are still seeking Area Developers for Manitoba / Saskatchewan and Atlantic Canada. These markets are expected to be under contract by year’s end.
We have expansion well underway in four provinces and expect to more than double in size in the next twelve months. In fact we are either in leasing or construction on over fifteen outlets already.
But our goal is not to be the fastest growing or the largest chain. We want to be the first choice among consumers and that means focus on quality and taste. And we want to be the first choice for franchisees and that means low cost, quality real estate and profitable operations.
He concluded: “Mexican is a market segment with burgeoning growth potential as Canadians continue their exploration and acceptance of international flavours.
