Smoke's Poutinerie opened a second location in Quebec, the birthplace of poutine, on April 2nd. Smoke's Poutinerie Montreal is owned and operated by franchisees Allan and Kathy Davey.

"We heard about Smoke's Poutinerie from a newspaper article and were thrilled to learn that there were franchise opportunities in Montreal," says Allan Davey. "We can't wait to share this with our hometown right from the centre of the action downtown!"

With 25 franchise locations across Canada, the chain is looking to expand into new Canadian cities this year including St. Catherines and Waterloo, Ontario; Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta; Vancouver, British Columbia; and St. John's, Newfoundland.

My goal from the beginning has been to spread the love of poutine to the masses, by taking the Quebec classic to the world," says Smoke's Poutinerie Founder Ryan Smolkin. "It's exciting to be opening in Quebec, the province where poutine first began. We hope to provide a unique and rewarding experience for our fans, customers and poutine connoisseurs alike."
