David Hamilton is a broadly skilled marketing and communications practitioner with extensive experience in all marketing disciplines including marketing strategy, sales promotion, advertising, branding, public relations, social media and business development. As a self-starter with initiative and drive to achieve organizational objectives in a fast-paced, Hamilton delivers results in an ever-changing digital marketplace.

BeTheBoss.ca: Tell us about the I AM CONNECTED concept.

David Hamilton: Founder Bruce Stewart spent his entire careers building seniors housing in Ontario. He recognized that seniors were going to require more services. In his personal situation, Bruce had a 91 year-old father and Bruce’s family was spread across the country and there were limited opportunities to connect everyone. Bruce wanted a way to have his children connect with their grandfather and he developed the concept for I AM CONNECTED.

BTB: How and when did you become involved with I AM CONNECTED.

DH: Bruce required someone with marketing and communications expertise to help build, grow and manage the organization.

BTB: What was your background prior to joining I AM CONNECTED?

BS: I have spent almost my entire career in marketing and communications with specific expertise in broadcasting having worked for Global Television and TVO.

BTB: What are some of the advantages in being a I AM CONNECTED licensee?

DH: I AM CONNECTED offers exciting opportunities to licensees. They have the opportunity to make a substantial living; they create local business growth for owner operated businesses; to become a community leader; and help in the fight against seniors isolation.

BTB: Who is your ideal licensee?

DH: Entrepreneur; community leader, passionate, sales expertise and strategic.

BTB: Tell us a little about the seniors and technology Market?

DH: The seniors demographics is growing significantly in Canada, the United States and around the world. Yet, they remain one of the most under-served demographics. Currently, 37 per cent of seniors over 65 on social media and that figure will continue to expand. Technology is also a social tool that binds multiple generations together. Every business should have a focus on population aging in its strategy. In Canada, seniors will represent 25 per of the population by 2060. The silver economy is a system of growth and wealth creation.

BTB: What are some of the greatest lessons you’ve learned in growing this license?

DH: Technology continues to evolve and our product with continue to evole with it in order to service the needs and wants of our users.

BTB: What advice do you have for someone looking to acquire a license?

DH: The I AM CONNECTED licenses will go fast. Everywhere, people are recognizing the growth of the seniors population. Apple and IBM have recently joined forces to build an Ipad for seniors. At the same time, there is a movement to support the local business economies and I AM CONNECTED will accomplish both.
